Calling all Metallica fans! This is your ultimate wah-wah pedal, with the sound of the shred king Kirk Hammett: the Dunlop KH95 Crybaby. If there's one guitarist in the last twenty years who's made the wah-wah popular, it would have to be Kirk Hammett, and that's why this wah is based on the settings of Kirk's equaliser and Crybaby Rack Wah from his live setup. The KH95 offers the legendary wah sound from Metallica's solos from the '80s to today. You'll even find a list of Kirk's favourites on the underside of the pedal to give you an indication of what you can expect from this Dunlop KH95 Crybaby Wah.
KH95 Crybaby: impressive looks and fantastic sound
The finish of the Dunlop KH95 Crybaby is just as extravagant as Kirk's playing style. The pedal features a green and black sunburst lacquer and is equipped with a rubber grip mat in the shape of a skeleton foot, with Kirk's signature in green. This wah has a remarkably balanced response when you move the pedal from heel to toe. You'll also find that it delivers a broad dynamic range with particularly fat highs. The KH95 Crybaby's sound has been optimised for high-gain distortion, but is also great for use with cleans, making it ideal for anything from screaming guitar solos to funky riffs.
True Bypass wah-wah pedal with Hot Potz potentiometer
The Dunlop KH95 Crybaby Wah is a true hard-wired bypass pedal, which means that thanks to a unique circuit, you won't loose any of your original guitar tone when the pedal is switched off. It's also equipped with a high-quality 100-kOhm Hot Potz potentiometer, which has a fully closed design to extend the pedal's lifespan and to keep out dust so you always get a crystal-clear sound. Finally, the Dunlop KH95 Crybaby Kirk Hammett Signature wah-wah can be powered by a single 9V battery or via the optional Dunlop ECB003 AC adapter. A unique lid gives you direct access to the battery for swift changes.

Ma première Wah, Acheté car c'est la même qu'utilisait Alexi Laiho, ça prend un peu de temps pour l'apprivoisé mais sonne vraiment bien, je l'utilise avec des Edwards E-AL-166 et des ESP SV sur amplification ENGL Ironball et Marshall JVM 410; fonctionne très bien sur tout ces mélange guitares/Ampli. Je n'ai aucune idée en revanche de ce qu'elle vaut par rapport à d'autre pédale Wah.

Uiteraard belooft de reclame dat je dezelfde geweldige toon uit deze signature Cry Baby Wah kunt krijgen als de meester himself, Kirk Hammett. Flauwekul natuurlijk, het pedaal probeert de klank van Hammett's complete Cry Baby Rack te emuleren, maar het blijft een imitatie. Wat je wél krijgt: een uitzonderlijk, van hiel tot teen soepel reagerend pedaal, met een geweldig dynamisch bereik. "Cleane" klanken blijven mooi klinken, ook als de Wah in high gain wordt gebruikt. Hoewel je zou denken dat alleen Metal voor dit pedaal geschikt is, heb ik het pedaal ook in bluesrock, en zelfs funk geprobeerd. Blijft simpelweg mooi klinken. En de true bypass is top, geen vervelend gebrom meer in de signaalketen naar je versterker. Had dat rare skelethandje bovenop het pedaal moeten staan? Niet echt maar ja, Hammett komt nu eenmaal wel uit dat Metal wereldje ...
